Hallett Cove is a picturesque coastal suburb in the City of Marion, located 21 km south of Adelaide’s central business district.
Since its establishment in September 1985, the Hallett Cove and Districts Lions Club has been an active and valued part of the local community, working alongside residents and businesses to provide support and assistance to those in need. What began with just 16 members has grown into a vibrant team of over 50 dedicated volunteers. Our members come from a diverse range of backgrounds and life experiences, forming lasting friendships while sharing a common purpose: making a positive impact in our community.
Our initiatives are wide-ranging and include subsidised training programs for local schools, the provision of grants to sporting and activity clubs, support therapy dog programs, and offers scholarships to help students achieve academic success. We also operate our own specialty Shed Op Shop and Barn Café, welcoming everyone from the community, and regularly host popular barbeques at local council and community events.
As a not-for-profit organisation, the money we raise is reinvested into Hallett Cove and the surrounding areas, helping to strengthen our community. Joining our Lions Club comes with no minimum time commitment — you contribute as much as you can, when you can, and in whatever way you can. Our Lions are proud to make a real meaningful impact locally, nationally, and internationally.
We welcome new members, volunteers and encourage applications from our community.
