About Our Lions Club
Hallett Cove is a coastal suburb within the city of Marion, 21 km south of the Adelaide central business district.
Hallett Cove and Districts Lions Club has been an integral part of the local community since September 1985, working with the local residents and businesses to aid those who need support and assistance.
Our membership has grown from our humble beginnings of 16 members in 1985, to over 50 dedicated volunteers today, who are the backbone of our club, where community engagement is core to our philosophy.
Our club members are volunteers from a variety of backgrounds and life experiences, often forming life long friendships. We are all part of the Lions team, with a common objective.
From subsidising training programs for local schools, offering grants to local sporting clubs, activities clubs, therapy dogs and providing student academic development scholarships, we are here if you need us.
We operate our own specialty Shed Op Shop and Barn Cafe where everyone is welcome. We also run our popular barbeques for the local council and community events.
We are a non-for-profit organisation, with the money raised by our Lions Club, returned back into the Hallett Cove and surrounding community.
With club membership there is no minimum requirements of how much time you give. You simply give what you can, when you can and if you can.
We welcome new members and applications are encouraged from the community.
Our Club Meetings
Our business meeting and members and partners meetings are held at 7 pm on the first and third weeks of each month respectively, at 36 Quailo Ave, Hallett Cove, SA, 5158.
