Hallett Cove is a picturesque coastal suburb in the City of Marion, located 21 km south of Adelaide’s central business district.
Since its establishment in September 1985, the Hallett Cove & Districts Lions Club has been an active and valued part of the local community, working alongside residents and businesses to provide support and assistance to those in need. What began with just 16 members has grown into a vibrant team of over 50 dedicated volunteers. Our members come from a diverse range of backgrounds and life experiences, forming lasting friendships while sharing a common purpose: making a positive impact in our community.
Our initiatives are wide-ranging and include subsidised training programs for local schools, providing grants to sporting and activity clubs, supporting therapy dog programs, and offering scholarships to help students achieve academic success. We also operate our own specialty Shed Op Shop and Barn Café, welcoming everyone from the community, and regularly host popular barbeques at local council and community events.
Lions Club funding is available to local clubs and community organisations for projects that reflect our core values of service, integrity, and compassion. If your project can make a positive local impact, we’d love to hear from you — click here for an application form and submit it to our Club Secretary using the contact details at the foot of this page.
As a not-for-profit organisation, the money we raise is reinvested into Hallett Cove and the surrounding areas, helping to strengthen our community. Joining our Lions Club comes with no minimum time commitment — you contribute as much as you can, when you can, and in whatever way you can. Our Lions are proud to make a meaningful impact locally, nationally, and internationally. We welcome new members and volunteers to join us in that effort.
